Soaring to New Heights

This was painted last night as a declaration for this weeks Kingdom School of Creativity. I declare that artists who have felt tethered down are going to be released this week in creative freedom to explore and soar at new heights. There is an increase in anointing for the prophetic and creativity in all areas of the arts. We are by nature a prophetic and creative people, we were born to soar. The wind is blowing... so spread your wings!

Spring Inspiration

Lately, I have been frustrated by the fact that though spring has sprung in many of our neighbor's yards, spring is limping through ours. We were given part of the day off in school on Tuesday and told it was our time to encounter the Lord. Many of my friends see things in the spiritual realm in the form of closed visions (like a movie clip in your mind) and get impressions (hunches that turn out to be really accurate). The Holy Spirit often reveals knowledge that we couldn't normally know on our own. Intercession has become a lot more fun this year as I've learned about the joys of prophetic acts.
Three of my friends drove up to Whiskey town to go hiking for the morning. Two of them had an open vision there the previous week, that happened to be the same vision and came back totally rocked. Last week, while Wendee was overlooking the valley she saw with her natural eyes thousands of colorful circles of light floating around, what she called orbs. She felt the Lord's presence really strong and like heaven was pulling on earth. I've heard the expression pulling on heaven, but this was a new one, that heaven is pulling on earth. I've never seen "orbs", but the best description I've heard is something close to the circles you in see in photographs of the sun when the light is hitting the lens just right. I've drawn them before not knowing what they were. When her room mate joined her, Wendee asked what she saw over the valley, and immediately she described the exact same vision. This week when they went back they said the orbs were still there but not as many as they had seen the week before, they still had a great time getting rocked by the Lord's presence.
My encounter time had a different flavor. I didn't have an open vision, but being a beautiful day, encountering Him outside seemed like an appealing option. Being taken back by the beauty around me on my prayer walk I began prophesying life to my own yard when I got back home. We have three trees on our property which haven't showed signs of new growth yet. Life is blooming all around us. One is a palm tree that is supposed to stay green year round, but is turning brown not green. Our grass is brown in large areas from the winter and the clumps of bright new growth has an orange rust like fungus on it. We have had LOTS of rain, so getting enough water isn't the issue, but unlike other yards ours hasn't gotten the memo. So as a prophetic act of intercession here's what I did while speaking life to our yard. When I got done I came inside to clean out my brushes and as I unraveled my clumped up painting rag here is what I saw. I think Jesus was laughing with me that day.

God is Good!

Gary and I are having an incredible time in Redding, just learning so much. We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our new nephew Tristan James, he is due any day now. We are missing friends and family, so please come and visit. This last week Gary filmed the school of Evangelism conference which he said was amazing, next week he will be helping film the Piercing the Darkness Prophetic Conference. Guests can visit the School of ministry we are attending for up to four days, if any one is interested in checking out the school while they are up here. This afternoon we will be attending the BSSM first ever full length theatre production of an original play Wynter's Kiss- it's a date for Gary and I- yah. It should be fun, all of the music is live and an original score by the students this year. It's been a joy going to school with such a diverse group of people of all ages, from all walks of life.
Speaking of events for all ages- this spring Living Waters is hosting the annual worship Symposium in Pasadena, CA. Praise 2010 is scheduled for April 22-24. It should be amazing as always. They are offering interactive workshops on the integration of worship, evangelism, and the arts. Guest from all over the world fly in to activate attendees in music, dance, flags, arts theology, prophetic painting, mime and much more. You can register and find out more details by going to

Living Water

Sometimes it is difficult to describe the unique way God chooses to reveal himself, especially when it is through impressions, fleeting images (not so fleeting images), dreams, visions, and still quiet whispers that speak to our hearts. As of late I have been encountering the Lord in new ways and becoming more and more aware that some of the experiences and messages he is giving me are not just for me, but that he wants to repeat them in others and bless them as they are shared. The way he speaks is endlessly creative. Here's one of the ways I experienced him this last month, I was holding my hands out in front of me during worship, when I felt living water pour over them. It was like liquid love. Seeing it made me thirsty and my mouth water. Instinctively I lifted my hands to my face and took a drink. It was so sweet and pure and I felt so much peace. Drinking a little only made me thirsty for more like I had to have all of it, yet knowing at the same time it was an unending supply from an eternal source that would never run dry. -yes, I did get tipsy) After that I saw this picture that this last week I finally sat down to paint after it wouldn't leave my head and and I felt heavy with an urgency to paint it. I hope it blesses you!

Living water fill my soul,
Living water make me whole,
Lift and drink what never ends,
and you will never thirst again!

Funner than Fiction

Wow, it was great to see our family and our Living Water's family in Pasadena this last weekend. We made it safely home last night. The performance went well, it turned out we had been booked for the Hollywood film festival Gala Reception. Gary was a handsome centurion battling gladiators on floating island in the middle of the pool. Ironically Jessica scared a reaction out of Zachary Quinto, Hero's ambiguous villain, Sylar, as she suddenly came to life as Roman marble statue. Fun, fun.
School it just amazing. The focus through out this first semester so far is on developing a private history with the Lord. We are being taught the principle that personal revival always precedes corporate revival. It is exciting being apart of a class of students seeking the Lord for his kingdom to be manifest on the earth as we first experience his presence in our prayer closets and go through personal transformation. Momentum is gaining each week as we come together as a body of believers. The energy of excitement is building and becoming electric. Friday, spontaneous praise and worship erupted in class for 45 minutes. There was no worship band or singers, but His presence filled the sanctuary as a thousand plus students stood in unity and experienced a little bit of heaven. Pastor Bill was scheduled to speak, but honored the move of the spirit and stood or knelt in silence at the podium. Someone was healed of a neurological disorder and others of wrist pain, near the end of worship. Pastor Bill ended up with only about five minutes to speak, and spoke about honoring others when they recognize the Holy Spirit moving. We are excited about this coming week and look forward to future updates.
